 Because most sessions are held outdoors, weather is always taken into consideration. If conditions are unsafe or not ideal (such as heavy rain, extreme temperatures, or high winds), I will reach out to discuss rescheduling options. My goal is always to ensure a comfortable experience and beautiful results.

Overcast days are often ideal for photography and typically do not require rescheduling. Light weather changes are assessed on a case-by-case basis, with the final decision made in the best interest of the session and overall experience.

Neutral tones, soft textures, and simple patterns photograph best and help keep the focus on connection rather than clothing. Think creams, soft browns, muted blues, sage, blush, or warm earth tones. Light pink always looks beautiful. 

For families or groups, coordinating colors work better than matching outfits. Choose pieces that complement each other without being identical. Layers and natural fabrics add depth and interest to photos.

Avoid large logos, bold graphics, neon colors, or busy patterns, as these can be distracting on camera. Most importantly, wear something comfortable that feels like you—confidence always photographs beautifully.

 That’s completely okay—and very common. Children are encouraged to be themselves during sessions, and I work patiently and calmly to allow moments to unfold naturally. Some of the most meaningful images come from in-between moments, not forced poses.

There is no pressure for perfection. Breaks, movement, and flexibility are always welcome, and sessions are approached with understanding and care. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where children feel comfortable, resulting in genuine, heartfelt images. We want the session to be fun!
